[Elecraft] K3 utility on Xubuntu 11.10 .. help needed

I need some help from a linux guru to get the K3 Utility working. I am running Xubuntu 11.10 64bit. I downloaded and expanded the k3utility_1_4_1_8.tgz from http://www.elecraft.com/K3/software/k3utility_1_4_1_8.tgz when I tried to run the k3util using the command: ./k3util from my /home/ directory

Thanks Dan, that was exactly the info I needed. My delay in replying was due to some problems with me and the small fonts in Xubuntu. I finally decided to change to LinuxMint, which I found was easier for me to configure with larger fonts. A bonus with Mint was the ia32-libs were already installed.
