Hans, The KAT100 probably can handle more than 100 watts. BUT it needs the K2 to tell it to tune, report the power and SWR, control the correct relays when changing bands or antennas, etc. In other words, it must connect to the control lines in the K2 AUX IO connector and communicate with the K
