Yes, that is incorrect. I was not aware that was there and we will delete it from the web page. The Manual should be correct. The QST review also had the correct specs, I believe. Eric elecraft.com _..._ On May 2, 2013, at 3:23 PM, Gerald Manthey kc6...@gmail.com wrote: Hello Eric So the

Hi all, I just put together a KAT500 and would like to be sure of this last step of supplying power to it. I'm have the 18AWG Rg Angle cable shipped with it which plugs into the 11-15 VDC on the back of the KAT500. However, I'm not exactly sure if I have the right power for it. My power supply

It's not that critical. Just 11 to 14 volts or so at an ampere max. The positive is the center of the coaxial DC power connector. 73 de Dick, K6KR On May 1, 2013, at 19:20, SRD software.research.developm...@gmail.com wrote: Hi all, I just put together a KAT500 and would like to be sure of

I suspect that the power handling is not really dependent on the SWR, but rather on the nature of the impedance that gives rise to that SWR (the resistance and both the magnitude and the sign of the reactance). One antenna system showing a 3:1 SWR might produce high voltages and low currents
