The Smoky Mountain National Park is tough. Its worth the pain though. Getting to Gatlinburg from Springer in 26 days is good time. As they say .. if you don't walk in the rain, you won't get to Maine. Many thru hikers on the trail this season. Good luck to all the folks aspiring to walk
