Congrats to the VK9NT team. I thought I would try this and I used the KX3 at 0.1W into a G5RV antenna over a distance of 1700 miles on 28.495.00 and although I could not get a genuine 59 signal on phone I was able to make a good contact and the vk9nt operator confirmed the contact and stated no real signal strength but audio was strong. :-)
