I'm having a great time figuring out all the ins and outs of my KX3. One
thing I haven't figured out is how to work the voice recorder. The manual
sez that it works the same as the CW recorder: hold REC, then select MSG 1
or MSG 2 and record. The CW recorder works as expected, but when I put the
KX
it has yet to be implemented within the firmware.

When use the voice recorder on the KX3 sometimes instead of playing my
recording it just keys up the microphone. It keys up for the same time as
what the recording would play. It is quite annoying when I am making
automatic calls as I have to cancel the repeat mode and restart it. Any
