Jittery PX3 Control comments by Don, K5DW + Brian, K9DTJ + Grant, NQ5T Have noticed that for several years here;  at one time I thought it was my age :-) Checked it today ~ it jumps ~ but by turning it slowly, it usually follows OK Cheers, Jan K1ND

Should have searched on Nabble first. Finally found some discussion of this PX3 cursor lag issue when running a KXPA100 back in 2017. Elecraft apparently recognized it as a bug, and talked about a fix, but I guess nothing has been forthcoming. Grant NQ5T KX3 (8342)/KXPA100 > On Aug 18,

Just out of curiosity, is the serial speed set to 38400? Running slower would make a difference. 73, Brian, K0DTJ > On Aug 18, 2019, at 15:41, Grant Youngman wrote: > > I fiddled with it a bit, and really didn’t notice any major changes in how > the PX3 controls function. Not that there

I fiddled with it a bit, and really didn’t notice any major changes in how the PX3 controls function. Not that there aren’t any. The simple solution is to simply set PA Mode: Off when generally tuning around. Grant NQ5T KX3 (8342)/KXPA100 > On Aug 18, 2019, at 5:30 PM, Donald Wines wrote: >

Grant, Something else I've noticed since getting the KXPA100 is the Select knob on the PX3 gets flaky if it's turned too fast. It seems to work fine if you turn it slowly. For instance when setting the Ref Level if the Select control is turned very fast the display just jitters and doesn't change

Don … Thanks. That answers my question. You’re right, it’s close enough if you’re tuning slowly, but if you try to tune quickly the PX3 cursor doesn’t follow so well. Grant NQ5T KX3 (8342)/KXPA100 > On Aug 18, 2019, at 4:30 PM, Donald Wines wrote: > > Grant, > > Don’t know if it’s

Grant, Don’t know if it’s normal behavior but my setup is exactly like yours and the behavior is the same. Especially noticeable at a high tuning rate. I bought the KXPA100 from an individual but it had never been used, essentially new. Don, K5DW Sent from my iPad > On Aug 18, 2019, at 1:16

[Elecraft] KXPA100 Question

2019-08-18 Thread Grant Youngman
Just got a shiny new KXPA100. I’m using “tight” integration with my KX3. The one downside I’ve observed is that when PA Mode is On, the cursor display on the PX3 gets jerky and doesn’t follow well. It isn’t terrible, just jerky. I assume this is the result of the KXPA adding data load

The KXAT100 adds its own front panel. It should be included with the kit. If you buy both at once, you only get the one front panel. If you download the KXPA100 assembly manual, that information is covered. 73, Don W3FPR On 9/28/2017 8:26 AM, Taldo wrote: Hey there, I have seen two kinds of

Yes, the internal ATU comes with a new front panel containing the ATU controls and indicators. You can read the Elecraft KXPA100/KXAT100 assembly manuals on the Elecraft website, which explains the differences > On Sep 28, 2017, at 8:26 AM, Taldo wrote: > > Hey there, I

Hey there, I have seen two kinds of elecraft kxpa100 amp front panels. One is without led swr meter and the other has it. The one that I sow without the swr meter didn't have the internal ATU so thought that if you upgrade it with the kit, you might get a new front panel in the kit but I couldn't
