Just a comment from a satisfied KUSB cable user. One thing about the KUSB is it is about a meter long. No extension cable, just from the computer USB to the KK3, no adapters or gender changers. I have used it on two XPE laptops. I also have 2 other brands USB cables that work except they are

The cable it seems does have a "special" feature as was kindly pointed out to me, heck what do I know I just included it when I ordered my K3. Apparently "it has the correct gender of connecting screws, and will fasten directly on to the K3's back panel DE-9 connector. Other USB to Serial Adapte

Please keep in mind if you are going to use a MAC you should probably get the KeySpan USB>Serial interface. When I had an iMac I used the Keyspan 49WG and never had any problems. For my PC I installed one of the PCI serial cards and it works great. - 73, Greg - AB7R
