Just a comment from a satisfied KUSB cable user. One thing about the KUSB
is it is about a meter long. No extension cable, just from the computer USB
to the KK3, no adapters or gender changers. I have used it on two XPE
laptops. I also have 2 other brands USB cables that work except they are
Actually my KUSB works now. I still paid $30.00 too much for it.
I am afraid to mention what the REAL problem was.
Please hold your fire on the rocket attacks. I am not going to mention it.

Thank you. Now I feel good. I am going to order another KUSB and connect

Seriously though,
I think most of us ordered the KUSB out of convenience of not having to
search out a USB to RS232 cable - it is not something everybody carries,
rather than having to call and drive around looking for one.
I know if I went to order a $10.00 cable, it would have cost me another

Enjoy...
The KUSB USB to RS-232 cables are uniquely designed and built to convey the
true natural beauty of the original data transfer stream with see-through
transparency and life-like, holographic imaging.
With the KUSB we start with a true Hyperlitz design using silver-plated
copper conductor

Elecraft have some wonderful products and accessories. The KUSB just isn't
one of them.
It is an adapter that can be found at electronics stores for anywhere from
$25 to $40.

The KSUB is a USB to serial adapter. The USB side goes to your computer,
the other end goes to the serial connector on the back of the K3. Do you
need it? Only if you don't have a serial port on your 'puter. There's
nothing special about it. I used a cable I already had.
I got the TCXO for the r
Is the KUSB just an ordinary adapter or does it provide a USB port built into
the K3 back panel. And, if not built in, why not. I don't even have a serial
port on my computers anymore (3 Apple macs and one windows laptop).
