I'm using external transverters for 2M, 70cm and 23cm, those being DownEast Microwave, driving a IPA to the PA. Yes, I think working EME is considered as weak signal work. Plus I use a mast mounted preamps with separate TX and RX lines. Makes for switching and sequencing to be less complex.
