I had posted about a problem with my K3s loosing transmitting power on only 15 meters during a transmission. The transmitter is set for 75 watts. The power could be restored by turning the rig off and back on. With the power set for 10 watts, the rig performs properly and does not loose power. I posted an enquiry on the list and received several excellent emails. I also sent a message to Elecraft regarding the problem. This morning I received a phone call from Doug with Elecraft. After consulting with another service technician, he thought the problem could be due to aging capacitors in a band pass filter. He recommended waiting for a complete failure before sending the rig back for service.
