John, The VFO B has no direct relationship to the subRX. The K3 simply has 2 VFOs - try to think of it that way rather than anything about the subRX. While it is a fact that with the subRX installed, VFO B is normally used for tuning the subRX, but that can be altered. Without the subRX instal
