-----Original Message----- Also, how many make use of all the MCU space dedicated to CW message memories. Would trimming them down a little or maybe retaining three the current size and the rest smaller make space for firmware enhancements. I am not alone in looking for mode retention when switching between VFO's within the current band. _____________________________
I realize this is more or less the opposite of what you are asking for, but WB9KZY has a scheme for doubling the CW message memory on a K2: http://jacksonharbor.home.att.net/memdk2.htm. Maybe it gives some useful ideas for other kinds of memory expansions also. By the way, it seems to me that the external EEPROM only holds Morse code memories, calibration data and frequency memories. If that is the case, then there would be little chance of trading code space against CW message space. 73 Sverre LA3ZA http://www.qslnet.de/la3za/ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
