My interest has always been to have a sub-mini HF SSB 17 meter radio with
all the goodies at least no bigger than the KX1 with tuner and batteries...
so hope you are successful if Eric and Wayne don't beat you to it. I think
they might be doing the linears next though.

With Elecraft now doing SMD I think it will be virtually impossible for
Wayne et al not to design and build a small pocket-sized radio using
surface-mount devices. Maybe a partial kit with factory-built circuits
for the amps and oscillators, but user-built frequency-specific boards
like the S
