It not only saves on weight, but it eliminates the possibility that the
transformer will deform the bottom panel should the parcel experience a
sudden stop such as at the end of a sorting chute.

What does Elecraft recommend for shipping a built KPA-500? Do KPA-500F amps
ship with the xformer installed? Not selling mine, just wondering about
buying a used one!!
