I do not have any experience with an IC-735, but I did take on a IC-751 project
a couple of years ago.

I found the sound of the rig to be irritating. Background noise was
harsh and spiky for lack of a better word. Recovered audio left me

With my last IC-735, I recall I did inquire to ICOM
AMERICA, State of Washington, about their replacing
the RAM MEMORY BATTERY in my IC-735.
If I'm not mistaken, they said they no longer carry
it. But there are several outfits who sell memory
backup products, for the IC-735.

One of the issues with ham equipment of recent times, is does it have a
backup battery that might be failing after 7 or more years? That is one of
the first things that comes to mind as our equipment ages.
