There is a pretty complex process for creating a usenet group (not
even sure if they are still doing it). It also depends on what type
of group is being created (for example, alt. groups are easier but
not-moderated).
However, if you did that, then you would be creating a new list, not
converting
This is a reasonably well working list. Radical changes might change
the current (quite well working) balance somehow. One could also
advertise this list in various places if one wants to add exposure
somewhere. Wouldn't that give a similar end result?
