3.0 branch is now available from the daily ppa<https://code.launchpad.net/%7Eelementary-os/+archive/daily> . The packaging<https://code.launchpad.net/%7Eelementary-os/elementaryicons/deb-packaging-3.0>is a bit ugly, but should do until we get 3.0 branch into Ubuntu.
