Recently I have picked up on a new side project that I am putting 100% of
my free time to, which means that I no longer have time for working on
BeatBox. Although it is difficult for me to do, I'd like to pass the
project off to an able team to maintain the project, and what better

i finished the work of victored and others on bringing the Simple Scan
GUI closer to the elementary HIG.
Following things have changed since the normal Simple Scan:
-> moved all important menus to the App-Menu and removed the normal menubar
-> changed the behaviour of the save-toolbut
This is looking good, nice work man! This is the kind of fork that will
help 3rd party applications look cool on elementary.
Simple Scan is a great app, and this version is perfect for our desktop.

I haven't seen an up-to-date screenshot yet and all my attempts to package
it are nullified by FTBFS of original autotools packaging, but judging on
the source code it should be great!
I hope we'll be able to upstream the changes once they pass designer review

It looks good so far. On the Launchpad page, I suggest you say that
translations are hosted at Simple Scan's original website, or import Simple
Scan's current translations and make further translations independently.

just to bring Simple Scan to luna in the short time. But for luna+1 it
should (i hope) be the original Simple Scan with an flexible

Launchpad, look it up.
I very much disagree this should be shipped in Luna, though, people don't
want an IDE to be included in an OS, just a normal text editor, like
Scratch.

Some time ago we switched to Vala 0.16, it was a very important change. Do
you guys think it's time to move to 0.17? I understand it's too early for
0.18, but most of the devs are already using 0.17 because of certain things
that we really need.

We can do this and GTK 3.6 and Clutter and other updates in the next cycle.
