Would it be possible to make a mouse gesture such as click or double click
on a line to make it become the top line of the view?
Any other suggestions for para-by-para reading?

elinks
is
getting _same_ view as in elinks.
-dump comes close to it, though does not exactly match. E.g. there will be
gaps in | symbol that draws vertical lines in text dump. When elinks
renders it visually, there are no gaps.

Wonder why elinks doesn't allow selecting text on a page with mouse.
lynx for example allows that by default.
Is there any option to enable text selection?

my_mailer_program_that_mails_url %l (where %l may mean

or something of above sort that will somehow avoid that menu.
Is there already a way to do so? Else is it likely to come in elinks in
future?
I am using ELinks 0.12pre2
