oh! thank you, I modified the template and it works now. The manual is
misleading:
"The template refers to the data through %:url and %:title placeholders."
Hi,
I want to use org-mode to store my bookmarks. I configured the following
template:
("b" "Bookmark" entry (file+headline "~/org/bookmarks.org" "Bookmarks") "*
%:url %:title %?\n”)
And I have the following bookmarklet in my browser:
javascript:location.href='org-protocol://capture?template=b'
I would like to move my budget from MS Excel to Org-Mode. I currently have
one Excel sheet per month with all the transactions as well as a summary
sheet that uses sumif functions.
Assuming the following format for the monthly table:
#+tblname: january
| date | transaction | amount | category |
s Notes is a suitable plain text
editor. I enter data into a inbox.org on dropbox and refile them when back
at a desktop.
I'd easily pay for an ios or web text editor that had rudimentary org syntax
support, such as collapsing drawers and indenting headings.

My setup:
- windows pc at work
- iMac at home (my wife is monopolizing it :P )
- iPad for personal use
I keep all my Org files in Dropbox. I use the iPad a lot, and not just for
browsing on the couch. When I want to edit my Org files on the iPad,
I struggle. I really tried to use MobileOrg..

When I do "C-c C-e u" to export an Org file as UTF-8 text file, I get the
following message: "if: Wrong type argument: commandp, org-export-as-utf8"
and nothing is exported.
Exporting to ASCII works as expected.
I run Emacs 23.2.1 on Windows 7 and Org's version is 7.3.

I have a TODO that is repeating every day like this:
DEADLINE: <2011-01-29 Tue +1d>
Currently, I see this item on every future days in the agenda.
Would there be a way to see this TODO on the day that it is due (today) and
on the past days where this TODO wasn't done? For example, lets say that I

Where I work, we have a powerful search engine that indexes all kinds of
files. It detects the converter to use based on the file extension. It does
not understand the .org extension.
I would like to know how I could periodically export my org files to txt,
maybe through a command, to a specific l
Hi,
I am trying to build a remember template to log a journal of my
activities, and some entries involve clocks. Here is my template:

When I call this template and start a clock, I get a weird behavior

I got it to work on my system, here is what I did:

- Mapped the MyDisk drive by following the instructions described at

- Set org-mobile-directory to point to the

HI everyone,
I saw the demo of OmniFocus today and I decided to create a similar
setup using Org-Mode in Emacs.
The only thing that is left to setup is tag inheritance.
At the moment, if I set a tag only for the main heading of a section,
its subheading don't show up when I search for the tag. I

Hi!
Still very new to Org... my setup is very simple at the moment, 1 file for
work and 1 file for home. At the top of each of those files, I keep a "*
Event" entry and I put my meetings and events under there.
If , for example, and event is scheduled for yesterday, it will show up
today as well
Hi!
I'm a new user of Org mode, I like the week view that I get when I press
"Ctrl-c a a". But sometimes, I plan things several weeks in advance and I
would like to be able to see what is coming in the next week also. Is there
a way to see the scheduled items for several weeks, or a way to jump fr
