Hey, this is a nice idea and makes me wonder if it would be possible to use templates to automatically commit all recent changes in a git repro, and start a new day by a new fresh working space in git. git links are already possible. The template could create a link to the just checked in status

Hi, one way which works rather differently is the combination of git and org-mode. You could write your protocols in separate org-files and link to them in your records. org allows (at least it did a while ago) to link not only to a file but also to a specific version of a file. You could do
