Maybe a bit of a shotgun approach, but M-x org-revert-all-org-buffers
reloads all org buffers from disk, after which a simple refresh of the
agenda view will display the changed items.
This will of course discard any unsaved changes in open buffers, so use
with caution :)

Suppose I share agenda files with other computers on the network, and someone
else changes an org
agenda file that I use, how do I update the agenda view to see those changes
reflected within
emacs without having to restart emacs?
Is there an org mode command for this?
