Job Classification: Application Systems Engineer Location: Fort Mill, SC Duration: One year Position Description: 4 year degree plus 10 or more years experience. • Strong testing and Q/A background. • Generating, maintaining, and performing detailed, thorough testing and test scripts. • Thorough documentation skills are a must. • Familiar with networking and firewall security, secure messaging, and secure file transfer protocols. • Understand web interfaces and web services. • Interfacing with project management, technical development, and business development teams, business testing team. Good communication skills are essential. • Prior development experience will be a plus though not a specific requirement. *Responsibilities* • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to develop a comprehensive set of tests for user interfaces, messaging transactions and file transfers. • Work with business users and technical development teams to reproduce and document any bugs and/or issues found in the UAT process. • Communicate with the project and development teams to validate and fix any bugs or issues. • Maintain all test scripts to include new feature testing as well as regression tests. • Analyze failed test results and assist project team in management of defect reporting. • Perform extensive functional, integration, regression, security and UI testing. *Requirements* • Knowledge of automated testing techniques and tools. • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance techniques. • Experience testing web-base applications, secure file transfer methods and messaging transactions. Prefer experience with Sterling Commerce Connect Direct (NDM). • Experience writing test scripts and test plans. • SQL database skills and programming knowledge a plus. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
