Maybe a workable solution to this conundrum would be for Chris to fork a
version of Stepconf into a new configurator (maybe called pyvcpConf or
something). Since forking (sub)projects is not only legal in GPL but
encouraged, Chris can add to his hearts content without stepping on Jeff's
vision or
Hi all,
I found the missing Python library, and now everything compiles fine without
specifying --disable-python. However I still get the following errors when
trying to run 'latency-test':
File "/home/emcadmin/emc2/bin/pyvcp", line 38, in
import vcpparse
File "/home/emcadmin/emc2/lib/python/v

Jeff,
Ok, got past that. Thanks. The next error is:
Request region (378) failed
Make sure the kernel module 'parport' is unloaded.
I edited the configuration and set everything referencing parport to 'n'.
There were six instances. After rebuilding I still get the same error.

Eric

Sebastian, et al,
I don't know if you have been following the SMP threads, but I basically
have EMC working on the Atom 330 with multi-processor support. When I pulled
over my working configuration using the 7i43, I now get an error with
unknown symbols. After loadrt hm2_7i43... DMesg reports:

Hi all,
I have an SMP kernel and rtai configuration with EMC sort of working. A
couple of issues remain, but I will be away from the machines for most of
the rest of the day. Here is a quick update.
