Chris has a point. I use master because of the change in behavior of using
double homing on my lathe (prox pulse and mechanical switch). The added ini
flag allowed me to do this without a hiccup and I've been using it reliably
ever since. I'm sure others are using it for the beta stuff that is work
I would hop on this in a heartbeat. I've literally been learning C so I can
eventually join in on development in some way, shape or form. Currently on

Long ago there was a Board of Directors for Linuxcnc.
Could it be time again to establish a Board, comprised of users and
developers.
To aid in direction, and make well informed and knowledgeable decisions.
Decisions like PY3 upgrade and release managers.
Just a thought.

download page offers 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 with all different End of Support
dates. I used some software the other day that would only work with 3.8; not
3.7 and no
I am 100% for this. Please no more EOL Python 2 and EOL GTK+2.

We may not need to break master for as-installed LinuxCNC. We will almost
certainly end up breaking existing user configs which rely on LinuxCNC Py2
