Possibly conflicting versions of tk? My current LinuxMint VM has both tk8.5
and tk8.6 installed, the default version is 8.6. /usr/bin/wish points to
/usr/bin/wish8.6.

Yep, jepler explained it to me that you can't run a deb that was not for
that something or other. I'm actually building a deb thanks again to
jepler, I think atm.
