Hi Dean,
I believe that the conducted emissions test must be done both ways:
1. to verify 60 Hz at the low voltage range and
2. to verify the lower frequency limit for EN 55022.
This is relatively trivial because the tests are not very time consuming,
even considering the differences betwee
This is an imprortant correction to what I said concerning
how the conducted test must be performed. But the important thing
to remember aside from this is that you can use EN 55022
radiated test data. This is where you will save time and money.
Regards,
Tony

Hello,
I am trying to understand the relationship between IEC950 (US/CSA deviations)
and NFPA 70 in regards to what I believe would be defined as "interconnecting
cables". In particular, I am looking at the circuit between a device port on
the system and the external device which connects to
Dean: The conducted emissions must be measured twice (actually, 4 times if you
consider line and neutral measurements as separate measurements) against the
CISPR limits. Once at 230V/50Hz, and once at 115V/60Hz. The FCC will accept the
conducted emissions data if it is taken against the CISPR li
Jerry - EN 45014(1989) is "General criteria for supplier's declaration of

declaration of conformity with standards or other technical specifications".
Global Engineering Documents is probably a good source for both - otherwi

Doug,
No there is no NAFTA Mark. But under the North American Free Trade Agreement
(NAFTA), import duties on various types of products made in N. America have been
reduced or deleted. That is the whole point of the Free Trade Agreement. Some
of the new duty rates were effective immediately; oth

Tony,
What about:
1) The electrical rating differences (i.e. 120 V, 60 Hz vs. 230 V, 50 Hz); and
2) The test methodology differences (i.e. ANSI C63.4 vs. CISPR 22/EN55022/CISPR
16);
for conducted and radiated emissions respectively.
Just a tho
Hello All,
I have come across two document numbers I am not familiar with. The
doc. are ISO/IEC Guide 22 and EN 45014. Anyone know what they are
and/or where I may obtain a copy of them?
