Good People
Would someone please provide relevant clause that explains how to use this
table. Are the peak/dc and rms WV used seperately to determine clearance &
creepage, as in 60950?
or is the greater of the dc or ac WV used to determine both crp & clr ?
Is the same measurement technique for
Charles,
As far as I am aware the FCC regs now use the CISPR22 conducted emissions
limits for the AC mains port and the radiated emissions measured at 3m for a
class B device.
CISPR22 radiated emissions are measured at 10m (for Class A and Class B) and
are not measured at 3m (as per the FCC set
Hi Nick,
Try this URL:

fill in the box next to "Normnummer:" with the standard you
are interested in (both VDE number and EN number work)
Select the radio button "Normart:" "Alle". This will also search
for drafts.

Another difference is some devices are exempt. At the bottom of the
notification form, are directions on getting the exemption list.

Herb Mertel of EMACO in San Diego used to provide English translations of
German VDE specs. He sold EMACO to TUV many years ago and retired. Maybe
someone on this list knows the TUV San Diego people and can find these specs
or contact Herb. Ed Price?

If a shoebox size device includes a 900 MHz transmitter and a 2.4 GHz

Does anyone know of a resource which would allow me to cross
reference the details of a VDE standard to an EN standard, or at
least will give me the title of the VDE standard so I can see if it's
what I think it is? I have looked at www.vde.de and I can find no on

per FCC Parts 15.107 and 15.109 issued July 22, 2002 and posted on the FCC
website.
The opposite mix-and-match is illegal; the old FCC conducted limits expired
July 22, 2002.
FYI there is blind reference in Part 15.109.

Charles,
Radiated emissions measurements to FCC Part 15 limits and conducted emissions
measurements to CISPR 22 limits is really NOT mixing and matching. FCC Part 15
conducted emissions limits have been modified in 15.107 to harmonize with the
CISPR 22
I sent BAKOM notification under article 6.4 of the R&TTE directive for
equipment using non-harmonised frequency bands.
They have written back with the usual things about adding the (!) next to the
CE etc, but also enclosed an invoice for 200CHF.
Has anyone else had this?
Is this new - I don't
All,
In order to harmonize fully with the ROW,
the FCC has amended Part15 to include the
CISPR conducted limits with a transition
period. Heres my question: Can one now
mix and match limits? For example, I reviewed
a Class B report only to discover that the
radiated emissions were done to FCC (@3
Hi folks,
I'm writing a software driver for the HP 8566/8 Spectrum analysers, and I have

Can anyone point me to them, ideally in .pdf. Failing t
