Hi Charlie,
To my knowledge, none of the standards you listed are mandatory in Uruguay at
this time. There is no compulsory product certification for ITE, and no
national mark is required. Uruguay has no national testing agencies, so they
rely on testing done by foreign agencies. If your product i

Don,
The Official Journal of the European Union, volume 46 number C172, pages
2 to 15, has the most recent listing of harmonized standards under the
EMC Directive. It shows that A2:2003 to EN 55024:1998 is the same as
A2:2002 to CISPR 24:1997. If an EN standard, or an amendment thereto,

Don, and everyone
The texts are identical, except that the EN version of the standard also has
a normative Annex ZA which details the ENs to be used as normative
references. A2 to the EN also amends this annex (to show that CISPR 20 2002
is equivalent to EN 55020).

Can anyone tell me if A2 of CISPR 24 is identical to A2 of EN 55024? I have
not been able to find a statement from various standards sources asserting
the equivalence.

Could someone confirm the EMC/Safety requirements for IT equipment in Uruguay?
Are EN55022, EN55024, IEC60950 required / accepted ?

I would not opt for a pre compliance kit, but buy a good
receiver and suitable antenna (compliance)and
any accessoires you need for testing separately.
Getting consistent results is already difficult with
compliant equipment, let alone using pre compliance sets.

tinned copper sheet for the case - it is easy to cut, bend and solder. The
