Can anyone shed any light on this requirement for Japan. We are EU RoHS
compliant but have not pursued any environmental compliance for Japan.

Conformity to any particular national requirement is not necessary, but
many CBTLs/NBs will want to write something in the report for conditions
of acceptability.

How rigorously should Notified Bodies (R&TTED & EMCD) require full use of
Harmonised Standards? Do they have scope to give positive opinions on the
basis of alternative evidence and technical justifications rather than testing
to Harmonised Standards even
To me, consumer products are products sold to the general public no matter
where they are used.
