I'm looking into what DO-160G category is appropriate for equipment residing in the flight deck of a commercial airplane. I'm only concerned with Sections 15 through 22. Does the FAA ( or equivalent ) mandate this? Reading the advisory circular it's not quite clear. I want to ensure we don't over spec, and therefore over design our "box" Replies on or off list are most welcome.
