The inputs will be connected to the same source like the power supply of the device. We already had the idea that DC networks are not networks, but in reallity the DC power supply is the same connection of the power supply unit the inputs connected to. If there are 2kV impulses on the supply connections of the device the same pulses are on the inputs. All other isn't logically in my opinion. But at the same reason I don't understand the higher test levels in the standard for the the DC inputs as for the DC power supply.

The other possibility is, that the DC power supply isn't a network - like you suggest - Then, we also do not have to test the power supply of the device. Nice idea. I like it. This will be much cheaper.
