Sounds like Laboratory Equipment, you have NRTL options,
but certainly none better recognized than UL.

The same thing happened to me.
I was able to destroy using www.mcafee.com clinic.
They have the latest detection and removal
utility for this virus. Regards

I recommend you contact the Technical committee at Cenelec responsible for
authoring the standard to ascertain the reason for the clauses. They may
shed some light on what you consider to be inconsistencies in the
regulations.
