Does anyone know of the requirements for demo equipment in Japan.
Specifically, a broadband digital transmitter that a customer wants to
evaluate. Does the demo unit have to meet all regulatory requirements?

The requirement for 30 meter testing was removed in EN 55022-1995. The
current distance requirement for both Class A and Class B is testing at 10
meters.

Jim,
You are correct in that a new set of antenna factors now must be generated
for the 80 MHz tuned dipole covering the frequency range of 30 - 80 MHz.

I think there may be a little confusion here, let me see if I can clear it
up. In your e-mail you refer to calibration of a site. My original message was
related to measurement technique for radiated emissions measurements. This is a
separate issue from site attenuation measurements which a
In ANSI C63.4 the required antenna is a half wave tuned dipole. There is an
allowance that lets a broadband antenna be used provided the results can be
correlated to the half wave tuned dipole. When performing radiated emissions
