Sample size of for EN 55022:2006

Hi Group, In EN 55022:2006 section 7.2 there are two options for sample size in testing. It looks like we can either test with a sample of 5 to 12 units (7.2.1.1) or we can test just one unit (7.2.1.2). Which is more common and why would someone choose to test a larger sample over one unit. I
