There will be a Northeast Product Safety Society / CNEC Product Safety Engineering Society meeting on Wednesday, June 22nd, at the Holiday Inn, Boxborough MA. A social hour with light refreshments will begin at 7:00 PM and the technical meeting will start at 7:30 PM. Anton (Tony) Nikolassy, Principal Safety Engineer at Curtis-Straus / Bureau Veritas, will present this month’s topic concerning a review of a the IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 Test Report Form (TRF) and CTL decisions, in the evaluation of your product. If you will be in the area, please feel free to join us as advanced notice or membership in NPSS or IEEE PSES is not required. Anton (Tony) Nikolassy has had over 40 years of product safety experience. He holds a BS degree from SUNY College of Technology in Utica New York. In his career, he has held product safety positions of technician, engineer, manager and director. Presently, he is a Product Safety Engineer at NRTL Curtis-Straus / Bureau Veritas. He is a charter member of the NPSS, IEEE/PSES and iNARTE product safety certification. He is skilled in electrical/mechanical R&D, manufacturing process development, mfg. support, documentation and quality engineering. He has sat on the IEC/CB Scheme committee for Information Technology (CSA//UL , IEC/EN 60950) and Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control, and Laboratory Use (IEC 61010). In addition, he has represented FM Global at the Committee of Testing Labs (CTL) of the IEC CB Scheme for these two standards. A technical presentation should be 45 to 60 minutes in duration and be related to product safety. Although the presentation may reference your company and it’s services, the presentation must not be simply company advertising. We would also appreciate any slides or handout materials be made available for posting on the NPSS web site. Releasing presentation materials for posting is desired but not a requirement to make a presentation.
