I just received EN 61131-2 which covers electrical, EMC and LVD requirements of programmable controllers. Par. 1.1 states that the scope of this standard is for programmable controllers/peripherals that are intended for use in overvoltage category II (see IEC 364-4-443). Since I don't have this standard, I am hoping one of you emc-pstc-ers can tell me what overvoltage cat. II is.
