Under the proposal for the new EMC Directive, it is my understanding that
ready-made connecting devices (not sold with the equipment) will require
CE marking. Has there been any thought, proposal, procedure, etc. as to how
they are to be tested for compliance and to what standard? For the most
What are the chances of ready made connecting devices remaining in the
EMCD 2000 as defined (i.e., cables et al)?
If testing (CE marking) is required, are there existing standards/test
methods that will cover these devices?
Or will the TCF route be required?
