Just as a warning. Maybe this is a no-brainer but when I hooked up my
VFD to my lathe and ran the motor, I seriously smoked the RC filters
that where part of the original circuit. I guess the filters where
trying to filter out all the high frequency output the VFD uses to
control the motor.

Yep! I've been scouring the internet for all things modbus and that is
one of the projects I've downloaded. The remarkable feature of their

I've been in IT for close to 20 years. I've written code in
LISP, ADA, C, C++, Java, and other languages that I've forgotten
about. I could really care less how many lines of code you've
written over the years. That was yesterday. All I've seen you do
lately is bitch, gripe
Oh you bet. There's nothing that can keep me away -- or quiet. We've all had
our times when the rails seem not to contain us. Fortunately we have an
excellent group. IMO the EMC/EMC2 project is right in the middle of what we
came to call evolutionary software.

Despite that, my offer of help as a (co?)developer still sta

Matt - Before
No, you didn't mention SSH hacks, but you did object to sending a key by
email. If it was not because you are concerned with hacks, what is the
nature of your objection?

I've been playing around with EMC2 now for around a year, and been a
member of this list for approximately the same amount of time. The
entire time I've been receiving emails from the list, I have yet to

The experience, maturity, and respect that you brought to the table will be
sorely missed. Hopefully, you will still be somewhere in the background to
keep these guys in check w

With M62 Pn you can turn on the HAL bit pin motion.digital-out-n
M63 Pn turns them back off.
I think n goes from 00 to 03 by default.

The probing stuff is on my list of things to do when I get the chance. It is
not rocket science. (Which is another way of saying that it is within my
skill set. :-)
