Interesting read about using cheaper brgs: www.cnccookbook.com/CCMillBeltDrive.html halfway down the page or so just after talking about belt drive. talks about the load ratings of deep groove, angular and taper brgs and suggesting stacking cheaper brgs to get load rating. also talks about preloa

Aram, The touch screen I use with EMC2 on 6.06 LTS is the Magictouch overlay. This can be used with any monitor. The 1315 is the one I have. It will fit (barely) a 15 inch screen. It will work with any size monitor up to 15 inches. Keytec, the manufacturer, has an autoinstaller. This worked ver

Aram - you need to look for Linux drivers for whatever display/pointing hardware you want to use. EMC2 doesn't care what the input device is, as long as it works with Linux. The question "does this work with EMC2" is really "does this work with Linux". You should ask the manufacturers if they

Aram, Looking closer at that link those are only the flange mounts. The bearings are not included. For a .311" shaft end they are also recommending 2 deep groove ball bearings and not angular contact bearings. Chris [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hi > Hi > > I found something close > > First end o

Aram, Those flange mount bearings coupled with a good anti-backlash nut will give you a tight axis. I still think that the flex in a long 3/8" leadscrew is something to consider. Chris [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Hi I found something close First end of lead screw= need have http://www.

Aram, Since you are only talking about cutting wood and plastic a standard ball bearing would probably work. Angular thrust bearings are hard to find in sizes smaller than 10mm Id. The best way would be to support the leadscrew with 2 bearings, 1 on each end and not a floating leadscrew with 1 b
