Len,
you give me too much credits.
I don't know that much about the HAL and to be honest, I am just able to
understand the HAL files that I got as samples.
Did this all with a bit of standard logic gates since my PC does not have
enough I/O to capture all the signals.

Chris - I certainly enjoy donating my time and some resources. But thank
you for the recognition. Whether we admit it or not, and regardless of our

I'm almost done with the photo board layouts and am researching the printing

got a single port Netmos based PCI LPT that is going to be swapped shortly
for a dual port Netmos (once I get over to my local shop _ I give them

I don't know all the differences, but I do know that there are some
canned cycles in Mach that EMC2 doesn't have, like G10/
Is there a fundamental difference between the Mach3 and the EMC G/M
Codes or will all regular/CAM generated stuff for Mach3 run also with
EMC?

Jon and Rob,
You guys obviously know a lot more about the inner working of HAL than I. I
am still no closer to understanding what lines of code I need to put into my
HAL file.
Can you please translate this simple boolean text notation...
home_en1 = dir OR NOT home1
home_en2 = dir OR NOT

hi everybody,
I started yesterday working with EMC2, seems to be a real great software.
Installation on top of Xubuntu hardy was very smoothly using your installation

After studying some threads here, I created also my first kinematic module

Good morning;
I have EMC 2.2.8 Hardy Heron installed from the live CD, this is working
just fine. I decided to install the 2.3 beta, downloaded the source and

build it. The current error is:

Steve,
I installed Hardy right from the live CD in January. A friend and I did
this on three different hard disks to make sure and had the same result.
