It is working for me if the G-code file is loaded in the GUI and also
if the G-code routine is in the path.

So there are two boards, power and control and you suspect the control
board is bad? If there is an obvious interface, like maybe the VF signal
is created by the low voltage board then the valuable part of the
controller still works. The trouble is reverse-engineering the interface.

I bought an Invertek VFD, made in England, from VFDexchange on ebay last year.
I haven't fired it up yet, unfortunately, but the specs and price appealed to
me (5hp single phase input, $500usd new). Excellent manual.

Gene,
If you think you could fix it I'd be more than willing to send the old drive to
you to work on it. I am certainly not a CET, but there isn't any obvious
failures from something blowing up or overheating, and the caps show no visible
swelling or leaking.
The drive had been acting up for

Have you asked Marshall Wolf Automation if they have or can get a VFD with the

Sure you can ask them for one that suits your power range.

Not having seen the press brake I'm curious about the need for back gauge
up/down setting. Why would a press brake even have this?
Is it because the bent section behind the press may be up at an angle and
therefore miss the back gauge? If so, how much movement is there in the

I rectify myself, the factory price for that model was almost 350 USD.

The only downside is that they only accept T/T but if you have no problem
with that it's a pretty good deal.

Hi Todd,
A few months ago I purchased a Simphoenix 12 KW E280 VFD (E580 sometimes
depending the country they export to) and it can reach 1000 hz (you will
have to edit some parameters because it's blocked from factory, but I
could do it and it works). I think it costs around 500 USD plus shipping.
Anyone know a good place to purchase a high frequency VFD? We had the drive in
one of our CNCs die. The old drive was a HSD DS15000. The spindle is an 18kw
24000rpm 4pole HSD router motor. The old drive is rated for 1-1000hz and that
seems to be the problem, all of the off the shelf drives I
