. The documentation I found on the RTAI site
(http://www.rtai.org/) is very outdated. Is there any documentation about
patching a newer kernel (2.6.32 at least, even 3.0) with RTAI? How about the
old (buggy?) APIC? Any pointers or ideas appreciated.

I need to monitor compost pile temperature and thought the above might
work. Wireless with a solar panel (and irrigation control) would be good
too. Hacking a GPIO pin or two, or a serial port might take some effort
so its lower on my vast todo list. I'll be interested if someone comes
up
if
decently indented. Also, you can't break well-formed XML adding data,
which is great in general but specially for rapidly evolving software
like EMC2. Whenever I have the choice, I usually choose XML above any
alternative.
