Does anyone know if anyone has used EMC to control the motion of a mobile differentially steered robot? Is it possible for EMC to run two motors for such motion? Is it possible to pass G code or other instructions real time from some other program to EMC?
I'd like to take a robot vision program such as OpenCV go to a C++ or Basic program of my own that would generate motion commands that could be executed by EMC for moving the robot. Seems like a nice precise way to control and know what path a robot has taken for navigation. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks - Ed By the way I've used a very ancient program Dancad Dancam to run some simple homemade CNC sense the early 90's. Just now getting into something a bit more modern such as EMC for my CNC's. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
