I recently had a Fanuc spindle drive repaired at Tennessee Industrial
Electronics. It was $1400. They have an exchange program if you are in a hurry.
I have done quite a bit of business with them, they are good.

I can guarantee that the scaling is different between m5i20 and hostmot . I
replace a computer a while back and updated from 2.3 to 2.5. and made no
changes to the machine and tried to use my existing pid numbers with no luck.
After retuning the numbers were not even close.

not a brake, just a ring with a notch that clamps on the spindle and an air
cylinder with a roller on the end to drop in the notch Milltronics used that
system for years no encoder just turn on spindle to like 50 rpm and actuate the
cylinder when the notch comes around, the cylinder end goes in .
Thanks for the quick responses sounds like i will have a spare 7i37 :)

Hi,
I am adding a 4thaxis to my VMC. I am using a 5i20 &(2)7i77&(1)7i33. My plan is
to use a gecko servo drive to save inputs. I only have a few outputs left on
the one 77. (the 33 is full) Will the 7i77 give good step and direction results
or should I switch to 7i42 to be rid of the isolators?

Hi all,
I saw this topic and thought hey its been a month or so since someone
complained about this. Many of the requests about the things they want to do
during this pause is unrealistic.
I think the solution is a "tool check" button that would move a distance away
and turn off the spindle.You
