I know v8.10 is not supported and breaks RTAI and other parts. But
since 8.10 is what I was stuck with (required hardware support for
EeePC 900A) and I only needed SIM I gave it a shot.

And - - It works... Provided you don't need any of the AXIS GUI's.

TkEMC, xemc and the others worked fine.

I figured I'd just go ahead and provide the error info in case someone
wants to figure out what actually puked and died.

What I have is working fine for me, so please don't consider this a
request on my part.
