Yes, they are, but it's not common to have brackets after the actual
email address.
In any case, Enigmail 2.0.12 is EOL, and I would not fix it anymore...

should've done - I removed the brackets etc and kept only the email
address, and now Enigmail is able to process the message. Based on the
