Are these stats tarball downloads? Or stats from the check for updates
module?
As I'm sure people download packages in distros that have them (e.g arch).

Yes, it's only on .tar.{gz,bz2}

./src/bin/e_update.c do a POST, so it's not cacheable, but distro
Sucks that it doesn't include version. As for distro dropping support: I
don't think anyone is aware or there's an easy accessible way to do it for
distro maintainers.
