Heres some details on LinuxWorld. I called the LinuxWorld organizers and talked with a lady named Debbie, really nice. She's filling in while Amy, the normal lady, is on vacation. Some of this raster mentioned and some I just wanted to confirm:
We get: 1 Boot, 2 chairs, and 1 6" table. If you look at the Exhibitors Handbook you'll find that you can get almost anything in the convension center, but it's all $$$$$. Including Internet Access. Lucky for us, we get internet access included at no cost to us. We are located in the .Org pavilion. If you've ever gone to LinuxWorld in the past you'll recall that .Org pavilion used to be a roped off area with cheap inflatable couches, which sucked ass. This is no longer the case! We get real booths. We are located on the corner of .org Pavilion in booth #161. It's a 10x10 space. You can see the floor plan here: http://www.linuxworldexpo.com/live/12/events/12SFO04A/exposition/floorplan Please note that the booth number can change, but there is no expectation right now. This of course leaves the question of having 2 sides to exhibit on or just 1. The deal is that there is a 8' drape/wall behind us and 2 3' drapes on either side. Apparently it is legal for us to simply pull back the side drape and exhibit on 2 sides. Only problem is, we'll only have 1 table. You can not just ask for another table (supposedly), you have to rent it. Same goes for chairs. Xenith has been kind enough to agree to bring 4 folding camping chairs which we'll sneak in. You can not bring your own furniture unless you ship it in, so just bringing chairs from home is out. As far as move in. Myself, my wife and Xenith will probly go in the days before the expo to check things out and start setting up. Rules are that you can only take in what you can carry, no dollies or carts. That should be a problem. They say you can only make 1 trip, but Raster has confirmed that they don't check/care. On the downside, there is no WiFi in the expo center. Which sucks. Depending on how many people want it, I might just bring my AP from home and put it under the table. :) BTW, if you look at that floor expo map, you'll notice we're near an "exit"... thats not an exit per say, it's a fire exit. The whole center is underground, so there is no quick and easy smoking area access. ;) We get 100 expo passes (normal access) and 4 exhibitor badges, the only diffrence being that exhibitor badges can get in and out for setup and cleanup before and after the expo floor opens/closes. Raster will be letting people know how to get their passes when the time comes.
