just in case it could help.
I wrote last night a tool which extracts all groups/parts/signals,
which are standard namespaced, out of a passed theme file. By comparing
the log of the default theme and your theme you should get an overview
which groups are missing or not needed anymore.

It's only within the last few years that color classes were created and
enforced for all default theme elements. If you git log the
colorclasses.edc file you can see how and when it was done. Most likely
you'll want to do similar things in any themes that you work on in order to
have consistency.
